What is the “Emergency Service”?

In emergency, pushing the Red Emergency Button, you will hear below voice command: “Connecting with OnStar Emergency Rescue Department.” If you push this button unintentionally, please push the White Phone Button immediately to stop the calling. When you push the Red Emergency Button, the OnStar will answer you in priority and pinpoint the location of your vehicle. The professional OnStar customer service advisor will make response to various emergencies and contact with the local emergency rescue institute such as the police, medical center, firefighting department, etc. so that the rescue team can reach your accurate location quickly. We suggest you, through website www.OnStar.com.cn, timely update the information such as your contact person in the case of emergency and vehicle plate number, etc. Once the vehicle is stolen or suffered crash accident, the customer service advisor of OnStar is able to quickly provide you with assistance.

How does OnStar help others in emergency?

If you find others meet emergency on your driving-way, just push the Red Emergency Button to notify OnStar the situation. OnStar will contact the related institute according to specific condition.

How to set up navigation route with voice commands?

Standard voice commands:
“My destination” - With this voice command, you can roughly aware the remaining time and distance to the destination. Please push the White Phone Button and speak: “My destination”, then the navigation system will report to you the distance away from the present location to the destination and the next navigation command.
Note: Every time when you speak out the voice command, OnStar system will play you back to the main menu by saying “OnStar is ready” which means the system is waiting for you to speak another voice of command. If you don’t want to speak a voice command, please say “Goodbye” to exit. There is an OnStar quick reference card which contains operational introduction of 4 common functions. Leave this card beside you so that you can find the specific operational step of the service you need.
“Route preview” - if you want listen to the navigation command ahead of time, please push the White Phone Button and speak: “Route preview”. The system will broadcast in form of 3 commands in one group. If you want stop the route preview, please push the White Phone Button again.
“Repeat” - If you want to listen to the last command given by the navigation system, please push the White Phone Button. After the voice command of “OnStar is ready” and the beep, speak: “Repeat.”
“Update the route” - If you hear “You have divert from the planned route, if you want plan route again please say “Yes”, or please say “No”.” If you are diverting temporarily please say: “No”. And the present route and destination will be retained. If you want get a new route to arrive to the destination later, please push the White Phone Button and speak “Update the route”, then the system will plan your route again.
“Help” - Please push the White Phone Button and speak: “Help.”, then the OnStar in-vehicle terminal will automatically broadcast all the voice commands. You can stop the broadcast by pushing the White Phone Button again.
“Cancel the navigation” - If you want cancel the navigation, please push the White Phone Button. After the voice command of “OnStar is ready” and the beep, please speak “Cancel the navigation”. The system will ask whether you want cancel the navigation or not. If you say “Yes”, it will help you cancel the planned route and stop the navigation.
“Save the destination” and “Plan the route” - You can save your destination by speaking the voice command of “Save the destination”. OnStar will remind you to appoint a name of the destination. In the future, when you need navigation to this destination, please speak the voice command of “Plan the route”. OnStar will ask you about the name of the destination and please speak the name which you have saved before. Then OnStar will automatically plan the route for you to the destination. This function is very practicable on your driving-way. For instance, if you save your office address as the destination of “Office”, in the future, when you push the White Phone Button and speak “Plan the route” and then “Office”, the system will make navigation for you to the office instead of connecting with the OnStar Customer Service Center. You may save about 30 destinations and name tags of Full voice-controlled hand-free calling at the most.
“Table of contents of the destination” - When speaking out this voice of command you can listen to all the destinations you saved.
“Delete the destination” or “Delete all the contacts and destinations” - You can speak out the voice command to delete one destination or all the destinations and the contacts. - Q:
How can I get my vehicle’s telephone number?

1. Push the White Phone Button. When hearing the voice command of “OnStar is ready” and the beep, speak “My telephone number”.

How to get the “Vehicle Condition Report”?

The first year after purchasing the vehicle you will enjoy the “Vehicle Condition Report” service for free. We will regularly send the reports to your E-mail address monthly. To ensure you can receive the E-mail sent by OnStar, the customer service advisor will record your E-mail address in the first phone call with you.

If I want get to know the vehicle’s condition right away, can OnStar help me?

Sure. What you only need to do is pushing the Blue OnStar Button in the vehicle to get through with the customer service advisor. And then tell the advisor that you want do the real-time vehicle condition detection, meanwhile, keep your vehicle engine working and continuously operating at least 15 minutes. Later the “Vehicle Condition Report” will be sent to your E-mail box.
If you get through with the OnStar customer service advisor and inform that you need the real-time vehicle condition detection but your vehicle engine does not start or it start working less than 15 minutes, your vehicle condition report can not be sent. The vehicle condition report will be automatically sent when your vehicle engine starts and operates lasting 15 minutes next time. - Q:
When the “Vehicle Condition Report” shows that my vehicle needs repair or maintenance, can OnStar help me contact the distributor?

Please call OnStar 24-hour Customer Service Hotline 400-820-1188 or push the Blue OnStar Button to contact the OnStar customer service advisor, he or she will recommend to you a distributor according to your requirements. At the same time, we will also irregularly provide you the promotion information of repair and maintenance in the monthly “Vehicle Condition Report”.
